The temple features traditional Chinese architectural elements, including a double-eave roof with swallowtail ridges and detailed mosaic decorations throughout the structure.
Founded in 1715 during the Qing Dynasty by Zhuluo County Magistrate Zhou Zhong-xuan, the temple received recognition from the Guangxu Emperor after a rainfall event in 1887.
The temple contains an octagonal caisson ceiling decorated with figurines, relief carvings depicting local folklore, and a giant abacus representing divine oversight.
Located at 168 Wufeng North Road in the East District, the temple welcomes visitors daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM without admission fees.
The temple houses an eight-lion palanquin made from Alishan poplar wood, featuring intricate open carvings used for transporting the City God during ceremonies.
