Sun Li-jen Memorial Hall

The Sun Li-jen Memorial Hall is a historic residence on Xiangshang Road featuring Asian architectural design from the mid-twentieth century. The building displays the rooms where the General lived and worked, along with military artifacts and historical documents.

The building served as General Sun Li-jen's private residence before being converted into a memorial hall. Following extensive restoration work, it opened to the public in 2010.

The exhibition spaces show how General Sun Li-jen is remembered in local and national memory. Visitors can see how his life and legacy are preserved and presented within this private residential space.

The memorial hall is open on Sundays for individual visitors, while groups should arrange visits in advance through the Taichung City Cultural Affairs Bureau. Planning your visit for the weekend or contacting ahead ensures you can enter and view the exhibitions.

The house retains many original furnishings from General Sun Li-jen's time, including personal military memorabilia from his service. These original pieces give visitors an authentic sense of how the General lived his daily life.
