Taichung City Dadun Cultural Center, Cultural center in West District, Taichung, Taiwan
Dadun Cultural Center is a five-story building in Taichung's west side with exhibition halls, reading rooms, and an auditorium. Grey stone covers the exterior, giving the structure a solid, contemporary appearance.
The center was established to preserve and promote Taichung's art culture and heritage. A dedicated archive room collects genealogical records and historical photographs documenting the region's past.
The center displays pottery, jade, and metalwork that reflect the region's craft heritage. Art workshops here help visitors understand how local creative practices continue today.
The building is fully accessible with elevators and ramps for people with disabilities. It sits on Yingcai Road with good connections to public transportation nearby.
Three connected exhibition halls can hold between 30 and 300 artworks, with tall windows bringing in natural light. This flexible layout allows the center to host shows of many different sizes.
