Czartowska Skała

Czartowska Skała is a limestone formation rising as a forested hill near Lviv. The summit features a distinctive rock pillar about 15 meters tall, with exposed stone layers visible beneath it.

An iron cross was placed here in 1909 to commemorate regional military heroes from historical battles. The site lay at the edge of conflict zones that left their mark on the landscape.

The site takes its name from an old local legend connected to the rock formation. A memorial plaque on the summit bears an inscription commemorating a religious ceremony held at this location.

The dense forest provides cover and shade for climbing to the summit along natural paths. Wear sturdy shoes for the terrain and allow time to examine the geological formations at the top.
