Zatoka, Beach resort town on Black Sea coast, Ukraine

Zatoka extends along a narrow sand spit between the Dniester Estuary and Black Sea, featuring multiple beaches and seaside accommodations for visitors.

The settlement began in 1827 with the construction of a navigation marker at Tsarehradske mouth, later developing into a lighthouse station by 1850.

The population of 1,972 residents consists of 70% Ukrainians, 20% Russians, and 8% Moldovans, reflecting the regional demographic composition of southern Ukraine.

The Zatoka Bridge connects the R70 national road and railway line from Odesa to Bessarabia, providing direct access to transportation networks.

The town includes the port of Buhaz with a single pier, functioning as part of the larger Port of Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky complex.
