Paragilmen mountain

Paragilmen mountain is a protected summit near Alushta that rises to 871 meters above sea level. Its slopes feature dense pine forests and distinctive rock outcrops spread across the protected area.

The mountain sits near Lake Kastel, named after an ancient Greek fortress that once served as a strategic observation point. This location was historically significant for monitoring the surrounding territories.

Local residents maintain traditional practices of gathering medicinal herbs and mushrooms along the mountain slopes throughout different seasons.

Marked walking paths lead to the summit from Vinogradnoye village, with parking available at the entrance areas. These trails are clearly marked to help visitors navigate the mountain safely.

The slopes contain numerous unexplored rocky terraces and massive boulders that represent geological formations found only on the Crimean Peninsula. These distinctive rock features set it apart from other mountains in the region.
