Church of the Presentation

The Church of the Presentation is a Baroque building with stone walls, curved facades, and multiple levels of dimension stone construction. Carved figures of Saint Joseph and Saint Teresa adorn the facade along with decorative stone vases arranged across the different levels.

Giovanni Battista Gisleni designed the building in 1644 with a Latin cross layout that defined its interior arrangement. This period marked a time when Baroque design dominated European architecture and shaped many structures across the city.

The church displays Catholic architectural forms that remain visible today. The carved stone details and religious figures reflect the devotion of the community that worshipped here.

The building sits in the center of Lviv and is easily reached by walking through the downtown streets. You can access it on foot from the city's main squares and neighborhoods without difficulty.
