Lviv Museum of the History of Religion

The Lviv Museum of the History of Religion occupies a former Dominican monastery building and displays extensive collections across nine thematic exhibition areas. The rooms cover religious traditions from ancient times to the present day, showing objects from many different faiths.

The institution was founded in 1973 as the Museum of History of Religion and Atheism before undergoing a name change and philosophical shift. This transformation reflected changing approaches to how religion and spirituality should be understood and presented.
