Lviv Raion

Lviv Raion is an administrative district in western Ukraine that surrounds and includes the city of Lviv. The territory combines urban neighborhoods with rural villages and agricultural land in the surrounding countryside.

Lviv Raion was created in 2020 as part of Ukraine's administrative reform that merged several former districts into a single unit. This reorganization aimed to simplify and streamline regional governance across the oblast.

The district maintains 23 separate hromadas, each representing distinct communities that contribute to the regional administration and local decision-making processes.

The district is accessible by car or public transport, with regular buses connecting Lviv to smaller towns and villages throughout the region. Local government offices and services are located in Lviv and in the main towns scattered across the area.

The district reorganization reduced the number of administrative units from 29 to 7 in Lviv Oblast, creating a more streamlined governance structure.
