Odesa Zoo, Zoo in central Odesa, Ukraine
The Odesa Zoo maintains a collection of 1,600 animals from 243 species across its grounds opposite the Pryvoz Market at Novoshepnoy Ryad Street.
The zoo initiated operations in 1922 at the Vorontsov Palace garden near the seaport, before relocating to its current location in 1937.
The facility organizes educational festivals throughout the year, teaching visitors about wildlife conservation and environmental protection through interactive programs.
Visitors can access the zoo at 25 Novoshepnoy Ryad Street, where they can observe numerous animal species and participate in scheduled photographic sessions.
The zoo operates Ukraine's largest collection of birds of prey, including a specialized nursery that prepares young raptors for release into their natural habitats.
