Huselske is a small settlement in Makiivka Hromada situated at roughly 150 meters elevation. The place contains residential buildings and basic infrastructure typical of communities found throughout the Donetsk region.
During the Soviet period in 1925, the settlement received classification as an urban-type community when Ukraine created new administrative categories for developing settlements. This designation remained for nearly a century until Ukraine eliminated it in 2024.
The settlement reflects the transition period between rural and urban living patterns that characterized many Ukrainian communities throughout the 20th century.
