Church of the Holy Trinity, Olyka

The Church of the Holy Trinity is a Baroque church with elaborate interior decoration featuring marble, sculptures, and stucco ornaments. A five-pylon bell tower stands behind the main facade and forms a dominant part of its overall appearance.

Italian architect Benedetto Molli designed this building in 1640 for Albrycht Stanisław Radziwiłł, introducing Italian architectural styles to the region. Over the centuries, it remained a place of religious life and knowledge sharing within the community.

The church served as a center for religious training, welcoming students who came to study and develop their knowledge here. This role shaped community life and made it an important gathering place for believers.

Visitors should expect ongoing restoration work, as the building is undergoing preservation efforts. It is best to check current access conditions before visiting, since work may affect how much of the interior and exterior you can see.

The building is clad in five different types of Italian marble, making it quite unusual among Ukrainian places of worship. This choice of materials reflected the wealth and influence of its original patron.
