Sievero-Hundorivskyi, Urban settlement in Dovzhansk Raion, Ukraine
Sievero-Hundorivskyi is a settlement in eastern Ukraine located within Luhansk Oblast and part of the Sorokyne urban hromada administrative structure. The community sits in a relatively flat landscape and functions as a local center for the surrounding areas.
The settlement was founded in 1949 during the Soviet period when a new category of places was created to distinguish areas between major cities and villages. This classification system shaped how many communities like this one developed across the region.
The 2001 census revealed that 93.38 percent of residents spoke Russian as their primary language, while 6.02 percent primarily communicated in Ukrainian.
The place is accessible through the administrative networks of Sorokyne urban hromada and integrated into the Luhansk Oblast regional system. Visitors will find basic services and facilities typical of a small local community.
Following the 2023 legislative changes in Ukraine, Sievero-Hundorivskyi transitioned from its former classification as an urban-type settlement under new territorial reforms.
