Trakhtemyrov Monastery is an Orthodox monastery in Cherkasy Oblast that once stood on elevated terrain near the settlements of Trakhtemyriv and Zarubnytsiv. The entire complex now lies submerged beneath the Kaniv Reservoir, making it inaccessible to visitors.
The monastery was founded in 1096 and later served as a residence for elderly and ill Cossacks following a decree by Polish King Stephen Bathory in 1578. Its destruction by Polish forces in the 1660s ended its role as an active religious center.
