The Dominican Monastery rises above the old town with its central tower, white stone walls, and ornate façade featuring religious sculptures and arched windows.
Founded in the late 14th century under King Louis I of Hungary, the monastery underwent modifications during Turkish rule when it was temporarily converted into a mosque.
The monastery contains multiple altars, preserved frescoes, and architectural elements that demonstrate the influence of both Renaissance and Baroque styles in Ukrainian religious buildings.
The church opens daily from morning until evening, with guided tours available in multiple languages to explore the interior chambers and bell tower.
In 2022, specialists created a detailed three-dimensional model of the building using 4000 photographs and 351 scanning stations for preservation purposes.
