Pension Towers, Office complex in Nakasero Hill, Kampala, Uganda
Pension Towers is an office complex on Lumumba Avenue in central Kampala, featuring three interconnected structures arranged around a central focus. The main tower rises prominently above the surrounding buildings, with two shorter wings extending on either side to create a substantial workspace.
The National Social Security Fund launched this project in 2008 to address a shortage of modern office space in Kampala. Construction faced delays until a Chinese engineering firm took over and completed the development in the late 2010s.
The skyscraper represents modern architectural advancement in East Africa through collaboration between Ugandan and international engineering firms.
The complex provides extensive office space and parking facilities for vehicles in a central Kampala location. Visitors can easily navigate through the interconnected buildings and access the site via Lumumba Avenue.
The construction faced a major turning point when a new contractor took over and accelerated completion from that stage onward. This shift meant the project moved forward significantly faster than the earlier phases had progressed.
