Bradley Center, Sports arena in downtown Milwaukee, United States
The Bradley Center was a multistory sports arena in downtown Milwaukee with glass-enclosed entrance lobbies on multiple levels. The structure included several wraparound concourses that housed food stands and restrooms, along with a central event space featuring movable seating sections.
Jane Bradley Pettit funded the construction of this arena in 1988 in memory of her father Harry Lynde Bradley, who co-founded the Allen-Bradley Company. The building closed after thirty years of operation in 2018 and was completely demolished one year later.
The building carried the name of one of the founders of Allen-Bradley Company and was used by the city for basketball games and concerts for over three decades. The facility was a regular fixture in the region's sports calendar until its closure, drawing crowds from across the state.
The arena stood in the heart of downtown and was easy to reach on foot from surrounding streets and parking areas. Seating was accessible via stairs and elevators, with upper tiers offering a wider view of the playing surface than lower rows.
After closure, the management sold furnishings and memorabilia through public auctions before demolition work began. Demand for these items ran high as many city residents wanted to acquire a piece of local sports history.
