Bradley University, Private university in Peoria, United States.
Bradley University is a private institution in Peoria, Illinois with several academic colleges and residence halls for students. The grounds cover a connected area on the west bluff of the city and include classroom buildings, libraries, sports facilities and a public radio station.
Lydia Moss Bradley founded the institute in 1897 as a technical school with 14 faculty members and 150 students. The institution gained full university status in 1946 and has since expanded its range of programs and faculties.
The campus sits on a bluff above the city and draws students from across the region who live in residence halls and use modern learning spaces together. Academic buildings spread across the grounds and form a connected space where lectures, lab work and research take place.
The campus can be accessed through several entrances and has parking areas as well as pathways leading to different buildings. Visitors can walk around the grounds but should note that some areas are restricted to students and staff only.
Westlake Hall is the oldest building on campus and dates back to the founding year of the institution. The university also operates WCBU-FM, a regional public radio station that broadcasts from the campus facilities.
