Conshohocken, Industrial borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania

Conshohocken is an industrial borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, situated along the Schuylkill River. The area includes multiple business districts with office buildings and residential neighborhoods spanning roughly 1.04 square miles (2.7 square kilometers).

The settlement began in 1820 as Matson's Ford and took its current name from the Unami language in 1830. It then grew into a manufacturing hub with textile mills that shaped the local economy for generations.

The Conshohocken Free Library serves as a community hub with programs that connect residents to local traditions and practices. The space reflects how people in the borough gather and share knowledge together.

Two SEPTA Regional Rail stations provide access to the borough and surrounding areas. Fayette Street serves as the main road, making it easy to navigate between residential and commercial sections.

The Schuylkill Expressway makes a sharp curve around this location, known as the Conshohocken curve. This distinctive bend is a recognizable landmark for travelers in the Philadelphia region.
