Powder Keg: A Blast into the Wilderness

Powder Keg stretches across 3,506 feet of track through a wooded area, featuring a compressed air launch system and multiple spiraling turns.

The attraction opened in 2005, replacing Buzzsaw Falls, and incorporated elements from the previous ride including the original lift hill structure.

The design pays tribute to the 1880s mining operations in Marvel Cave, where workers extracted bat guano for creating black powder.

Each train accommodates 16 riders in four cars with two seats per row, processing approximately 1,000 visitors every hour at full capacity.

The coaster combines two distinct acceleration methods: an initial compressed air launch from 0 to 53 mph and a traditional chain lift hill.
