Donald M. Kendall Sculpture Gardens, Sculpture garden and art museum at PepsiCo headquarters in Purchase, New York.
The Donald M. Kendall Sculpture Gardens is an art museum with indoor galleries and more than 45 outdoor sculptures spread across 168 acres of land. The grounds include open lawns, mature trees, ponds, and fountains that frame the artworks.
The gardens opened in 1970 on the site of a former polo field, beginning with just eight sculptures. The collection expanded substantially in the following decades as PepsiCo acquired new works.
The collection features twentieth-century artists including Rodin, Moore, and Calder, representing different artistic movements and styles. Today, these works feel like natural parts of the landscape rather than separate exhibits.
The gardens are open free of charge from April through November, with weekend hours typically from 10 AM to 4 PM. You can reach the site using Metro-North trains or local buses serving the area.
The sculptures receive regular conservation treatments to protect them from weather and environmental damage while staying integrated with the natural setting. This ongoing care ensures the works remain in good condition over time.
