Rosemary Hall, Gothic Revival school building in Greenwich, United States

The Rosemary Hall campus features pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and flying buttresses, reflecting the architectural principles of Gothic Revival design from 1909.

Founded in 1909 as a girls' preparatory institution, Rosemary Hall established educational standards through multiple initiatives, including the first literary magazine in female schools.

The institution fostered women's education by introducing competitive sports, establishing the first interscholastic basketball game between girls' schools in the region.

Located at the intersection of Ridgeway and Zaccheus Mead Lane, the National Register of Historic Places property contains 16 buildings across 18 acres.

Life magazine published a four-page photo essay in 1937 documenting the school's annual dance attended by students from Yale, Princeton, and Harvard.
