L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium

L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium features a modern design with 55,000 seats, artificial turf, and numerous amenities throughout its multi-level structure.

The stadium opened on September 5, 1998, replacing the previous Cardinal Stadium that had served the University of Louisville since 1956.

The stadium underwent a name change in 2018 from Papa John's Cardinal Stadium to Cardinal Stadium following corporate controversies before adopting its current name.

Located at the southern end of the University of Louisville campus, the stadium provides parking facilities and connects to local transportation networks.

L&N Federal Credit Union, the stadium's current namesake, originated from serving Louisville and Nashville Railroad employees who worked at a terminal on this exact location.
