Alhambra Apartments is a six-tower residential building at 500-518 Nostrand Avenue featuring loggias, gables, arcades, and terracotta ornaments across its exterior. The facade displays elaborate brickwork and stone elements that extend throughout the structure.

Built between 1889 and 1890 by architect Montrose Morris and developer Louis F. Seitz, the building represented a turning point toward upscale multi-family housing. This period marked when Brooklyn developers began creating luxury apartments for wealthy families.

The building's Romanesque and Queen Anne design with patterned brick and carved details reflects how wealthy residents wanted their apartments to look and feel in the late 1800s. These architectural choices shaped the character of the neighborhood during its development.
