Castaway Bay

Castaway Bay is an indoor water park in Sandusky featuring multiple water slides, a wave pool, and dedicated children's areas. The resort also includes hotel accommodations, dining outlets, a game room, and retail shops with direct guest access to water attractions.

The site opened in 1989 as the Radisson Harbor Inn before Cedar Fair acquired it in 1996 and transformed it into the water park by 2004. This conversion gave the location an entirely new purpose and identity.

The property features a tropical theme with Caribbean-inspired decor and design throughout the grounds. This style shapes how guests experience the indoor spaces and interact with the environment.

The park is housed indoors, allowing year-round visits regardless of weather conditions. Hotel guests enjoy direct access to water attractions from their rooms, making visits convenient.

Rocket's Canopy Coaster is a water coaster that propels riders uphill through water jets before climbing partially outside the building structure. The ride then returns indoors through spiral sections for the descent.
