Blue Streak is a wooden roller coaster at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. The track runs 634 meters with drops and hills, reaching a height of nearly 24 meters (78 feet) and a speed of around 64 kilometers per hour (40 mph).
Philadelphia Toboggan Company built the roller coaster, which opened on May 23, 1964. The construction brought a major wooden coaster back to the park after Cyclone was removed in 1951.
The name comes from the athletic teams at Sandusky High School and connects the ride to the city. Visitors often notice school colors and local references in the boarding area design.
Two trains with four cars each carry 24 riders per journey, and guests must be at least 122 centimeters (48 inches) tall. Wait times tend to be shorter in the morning and late afternoon than during midday.
American Coaster Enthusiasts designated the roller coaster as a Coaster Landmark in July 2022 during Coaster Con 44. The recognition honors the ride's role in the history of American wooden coasters.
