Cedar Creek Mine Ride

Cedar Creek Mine Ride is a steel roller coaster at Cedar Point that winds through a wooded landscape with a mine-themed design. The ride features two chain lift hills and descends with multiple dips, reaching speeds of up to 42 mph (68 km/h).

The ride was built by Arrow Dynamics in 1969 and ranks among the oldest operating coasters at the park. It represents an early example of steel roller coaster design combined with a mining theme.

The ride incorporates mining heritage elements throughout its course, with mineshaft scenery and tunnels reflecting industrial traditions of the region.

The coaster operates with four trains, each carrying five cars that hold roughly 30 riders total per train. Plan to experience a crowded queue on busy days, as this is a popular attraction at the park.

In 2019, for its 50th anniversary, the attraction received technical updates including new station soundtracks and enhanced tunnel special effects.
