White Water Landing, Log flume ride at Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio, United States
White Water Landing was a water ride at Cedar Point amusement park featuring two sequential drops and a conveyor lift system. This system carried boats through an artificial mine shaft before passengers experienced the water sections.
The ride opened in 1982 at Cedar Point amusement park and operated until October 2005, when it was replaced by the Maverick roller coaster. The change marked a shift in the park's focus from water attractions to intense steel coasters.
The ride displayed a rustic mining theme with boats shown alongside an old warehouse building. The revolving station let visitors view the water vehicles from different angles.
The ride reached a height of 15 meters and offered a mix of dry and wet areas. Visitors should expect to get wet, especially in the rows closer to the splash zone.
Parts of the original station building and queue areas remained and were integrated into the subsequent Maverick roller coaster. This architectural reuse allowed sections of the original structure to survive to today.
