Connecticut Governor's Residence, Official residence in Hartford, United States.

The three-story Georgian Revival mansion at 990 Prospect Avenue contains nineteen rooms across 15,000 square feet of living space with nine fireplaces.

Built in 1909 for physician George Williams, the property became the Connecticut Governor's official residence in 1943 after state acquisition for $39,500.

The residence hosts public tours during holiday seasons, displaying Connecticut artworks and furnishings that represent the state's creative heritage through generations.

The Governor's Residence Conservancy manages preservation and maintenance while allowing nonprofit organizations to use the space for charitable events.

The initial furnishing plan failed when legislators distributed furniture contracts across towns, leading local department store owner Beatrice Auerbach to completely refurnish the residence.
