Dave's Falls

Dave's Falls is a waterfall in Marinette County, Wisconsin, where water cascades over rock formations along the Pike River. The falls are split into two main sections with different drop heights, creating varied viewing angles as you move along the site.

The site was originally known as Pem-a-wan Falls but was renamed after lumberjack Dave Frechette, who died in 1881 while clearing a log jam. The name change reflects how the area honors workers from its logging past.

The waterfall stands as part of Marinette County's collection of natural water features, which earned the region its title as Waterfall Capital of Wisconsin.

The falls are easy to reach, with parking near the entrance and a short walk to the viewing areas. Basic facilities are available on site, though rough terrain with stairs and uneven ground means sturdy shoes are recommended.

The falls feature distinct viewing sections, including a wider 6-foot upper slide and a steeper 10-foot lower cascade over exposed bedrock formations.
