Joyce Center

The Joyce Center is a large sports arena on the Notre Dame campus featuring two distinctive white domes with vinyl-covered surfaces. The complex houses an aquatic facility with a 50-meter pool, a fencing center, and various administrative offices.

Construction began in 1966 and took about two years before the facility opened in 1968 as the Athletic & Convocation Center. The building was later redesigned and expanded to serve new sports programs and university needs.

The Joyce Center is where Notre Dame basketball and volleyball teams play their home games, drawing students and fans to support their school throughout the season. The building has become a gathering place for the university community, hosting events that strengthen school spirit.

The facility is easy to reach with a ticket office for purchasing event passes, and the areas for basketball, volleyball, and swimming are clearly marked.
