William L. Elkins, a Philadelphia railroad magnate, commissioned architect Horace Trumbauer to construct Elstowe Manor in 1898 on his family's former summer residence site.
The interior of Elstowe Manor features European craftsmanship with marble columns, carved wood details, and frescoed ceilings representing Italian High Renaissance style.
The estate accommodates up to 300 guests for events, offering multiple indoor and outdoor spaces suitable for ceremonies and celebrations throughout the property.
The Dominican Sisters operated the estate as a retreat center for 75 years, making it one of the oldest women's retreat facilities in the United States.
