The Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art occupies 8,300 square feet on the fourth floor of the Brooklyn Museum, featuring dedicated exhibition spaces and galleries.

Founded in 2007 by Elizabeth Sackler, this institution became the first public museum space in the United States specifically dedicated to presenting feminist art.

The center permanently displays The Dinner Party installation by Judy Chicago, presenting 39 place settings that recognize historical female figures on its Heritage Floor.

Visitors access the center through the Brooklyn Museum entrance, where rotating exhibitions and educational programs about feminist art take place throughout the year.

The Feminist Art Base database contains extensive documentation of artists working with feminist themes, including their biographies, curricula, and representative artworks.
