Khankah Nadir Divanbegi

Khankah Nadir Divanbegi is a Sufi lodge in the Lyab-i Hauz district of Bukhara, featuring traditional Islamic architectural elements with ornate tilework, carved wooden doors, and decorative stucco details throughout. The two-story building stands within the connected complex and displays the craftsmanship applied across its entire structure.

The building was constructed in the early 17th century under Grand Vizier Nadir Divanbegi and served as a gathering place for Sufi practitioners and traveling guests. It became an important spiritual center in Bukhara during that period.

The building shows classical Central Asian design with intricate tile mosaics and Arabic inscriptions that reflect regional artistic traditions.

The building is located within the Lyab-i Hauz area, where you can easily walk through and explore different sections. The surroundings contain many other historical sites, making it worthwhile to spend time exploring the entire neighborhood.

The facade displays mythological motifs such as the huma bird and grazing deer, elements rarely seen in traditional Islamic religious architecture. This unusual decoration gives the building a character that stands apart from other structures of the same period.
