District 3, Urban district in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
District 3 extends over 4.92 square kilometers, bordering District 1, Phú Nhuận District, District 10, and Tân Bình District of Ho Chi Minh City.
Established in December 1920, District 3 served as an administrative center with foreign embassies during the Vietnam War before transforming into a commercial zone.
The district contains major religious structures including Xá Lợi Pagoda, Vĩnh Nghiêm Pagoda, and numerous French colonial villas reflecting architectural heritage.
The area connects to Tan Son Nhat International Airport through a 20-minute drive, with taxi services costing between 65,000 and 85,000 Vietnamese Dong.
Saigon Railway Station, located in District 3, functions as Vietnam's primary railway terminal, marking the end point of the North-South railway line.
