Việt Nam Quốc Tự

Việt Nam Quốc Tự is a seven-story temple in Ho Chi Minh City with traditional Vietnamese architecture, red and yellow exterior walls, and multiple Buddha statues distributed across its floors. The building displays detailed craftsmanship and is filled with religious figures that mark the Buddhist purpose of the space.

The temple was founded in 1963 during a period of Buddhist revival in Vietnam and was completed in April 1964. This founding period reflects the religious importance that Buddhism had regained in the city after many years.

The temple serves as a gathering place where believers come to pray and observe important Buddhist celebrations throughout the year. The rooms are arranged with altars and statues that show visitors how Buddhist practice is lived and expressed here.

The temple is located in a busy city neighborhood and is open to visitors during specific times of day, so plan to visit in the morning or early evening hours. The different floors are accessed by stairs, so visitors should expect to climb and wear comfortable shoes.

The second floor holds a shrine with numerous tiny Buddha figures arranged in front of a large wall mural depicting cloud patterns. This display creates a special visual experience that many visitors overlook when they focus on the upper floors.
