Miếu Nổi

Miếu Nổi is a temple built directly above the Vam Thuat River, reachable only by small boats from the shore. The structure features three sections standing side by side above the water, giving it a distinctive form.

The temple was built more than 300 years ago and served river boatmen and sailors seeking blessings before their journeys. Its location above water made it a symbolic shelter for people traveling along Saigon River routes.

People come here to pray at statues of Buddha Maitreya and the Holy Mother of the Five Elements, which occupy the interior. These figures shape how visitors experience the space and understand its spiritual role today.

Reaching the temple requires taking a small boat from the shore, with the crossing taking about five minutes and not accessible on foot. Planning extra time for arrival at the dock is helpful, especially when crowds are present.
