Adventist University of the Philippines, private coeducational university
Adventist University of the Philippines is a private higher education institution in Silang, Cavite, operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church and covering about 165 hectares of land. The campus includes classrooms, modern laboratories, a two-story library, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, and several dormitories for resident students.
The school was founded in 1917 by church missionaries and began with a small group of students. After relocating several times, it moved to its current large campus in Silang in 1972 and gained university status in 1996 under its present name.
The university reflects the values of its Seventh-day Adventist Church sponsor in how it operates daily. Visitors notice students participating in worship services and community projects, showing how faith and learning are woven into campus life.
The campus sits on a hilltop about an hour's drive from Manila, accessible via expressway with an exit near Sta. Rosa. Visitors should know the grounds are spacious with buildings spread out across the property, so allow extra time to navigate between locations.
The campus offers expansive views of Laguna de Bay and Mount Makiling, which many describe as a million-dollar view. This elevated hilltop position creates an open feeling that sets it apart from typical urban campus settings.
