Pico das Torres

Pico das Torres is a mountain summit on Madeira positioned between Pico Ruivo and Pico do Arieiro, rising to approximately 1,850 meters above the Atlantic Ocean. The route features technical climbing sections and steep rock passages that demand experience and skill.

Herders have used pathways around this summit for centuries to move livestock across Madeira's mountainous terrain. These early trails later became the foundation for modern climbing routes.

The summit forms part of a renowned mountaineering route connecting multiple peaks and draws experienced climbers from around the world. Visitors come here to challenge themselves and share the experience of reaching a high point.

At this summit clouds pass through daily, creating constantly shifting visibility conditions that make each visit a different experience. This daily cloud phenomenon occurs due to the mountain's location and ocean air currents.
