Church of Santa Maria de Lagos, 15th-century parish church in São Gonçalo de Lagos, Portugal.
The Santa Maria de Lagos Church displays whitewashed walls with two bell towers, Doric columns, and a Renaissance-style entrance door at its facade.
Following the devastating earthquake of 1755, the church underwent reconstruction and experienced additional modifications throughout the 18th and 19th centuries.
The interior houses religious statues, including Saint Goncalo, recognized as the patron saint of Lagos fishermen from the 15th century.
Located at Praça Infante Dom Henrique in Lagos, the church maintains regular hours from 09:00 to 19:00, allowing visitors to explore its architecture.
The sacristy exhibits an 18th-century figure of Infant Jesus the King dressed in period clothing, alongside images of Our Lady of Assunção.
