Metropol Palace Hotel Belgrade, Protected cultural monument and hotel in Palilula, Serbia
The Metropol Palace Hotel rises ten floors at the intersection of Bulevar kralja Aleksandra and Karnegijeva street, featuring 108 rooms and 128 suites.
The building, designed by architect Dragiša Brašovan, opened its doors in 1957 and received cultural monument status in 2001 for its architectural significance.
The hotel lobby displays a large wall painting made of colored wood pieces, commissioned specifically by architect Brašovan in 1956.
The hotel includes a three-level underground parking garage for 100 vehicles, multiple dining establishments, and conference facilities that accommodate 1,000 guests.
After a fire destroyed its top floors in 2002, the hotel underwent complete reconstruction and reopened in 2012 with preserved architectural elements.
