Kaliningrader Hochstraßen, Road bridge in Kaliningrad, Russia.
The Kaliningrader Hochstraßen is an elevated highway bridge spanning the Pregolya River with six traffic lanes. The structure stretches for nearly 1.9 kilometers and connects the northern and southern districts of the city.
The bridge opened in December 2011 as a major improvement to the city's transportation network. The project followed decades of reconstruction efforts that began after World War II.
The bridge structure reflects modern engineering methods while connecting different districts of Kaliningrad, formerly known as Königsberg, a city of mathematical significance.
The bridge is designed primarily for regular road traffic and significantly improves passage between both riverbanks. Pedestrian and cycling areas are also available to allow crossing the river.
This bridge forms part of the modern solution to the historical Seven Bridges of Königsberg mathematical problem, which established the foundations of graph theory.
