Salam Park, Urban park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Salam Park is an urban park in the As-Salam district of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, covering around 61 acres (25 hectares) and divided into four zones: the Palm Grove, the Lake area, the Hillside Zone, and the Ecological Zone. At its center sits a 3-hectare artificial lake with a one-kilometer walking path running along its edge.

The land where the park now stands was once a date palm orchard belonging to Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman, and the city acquired it in the 1990s. The park opened in 2004, inaugurated by Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz.

The park has three main entrance gates, known as Al-Marsa, Al-Bahirah, and Al-Sahah, which give access to different parts of the grounds. The paths are suitable for walking and jogging, and the lake area is best visited in the evening when the fountain is lit.

Inside the park stands the Salam Mosque, one of the oldest reinforced concrete mosques in Riyadh and an early example of concrete use in the city's religious buildings. The hills in the central zone were shaped from the earth dug out to create the lake, meaning the park's rolling landscape is a direct byproduct of its own construction.
