The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque spans 16,800 square meters with a primary prayer hall, separate women's section, and a 4,800-square-meter outdoor courtyard.
Built during the reign of Imam Turki bin Abdullah in central Riyadh, the mosque underwent multiple expansions before its complete reconstruction in January 1993.
The mosque functions as a central gathering point for religious scholars and students, maintaining its role as an educational institution in Saudi Arabia.
Two pedestrian bridges connect the mosque directly to the Palace of Government, while remote-controlled cameras and broadcast equipment enable live transmission of prayers.
Twin minarets, each reaching 50 meters in height, incorporate traditional architectural elements that earned the mosque the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 1995.
