Ljubljana Town Hall

Ljubljana Town Hall occupies a central position on Main Square and serves as the seat of municipal government in the capital. The structure displays a white facade with a prominent loggia and a distinctive gable roof that rises above the surrounding buildings.

The building originated in 1484 under the direction of builder Peter Bezlaj and received a significant redesign inspired by Venetian architecture between 1717 and 1719 under Gregor Maček. This transformation gave the structure the appearance it displays today.

The entrance features a replica of the Three Rivers Fountain, originally designed by Francesco Robba. The original sculpture can be found in the National Gallery of Slovenia.

A monument was removed from in front of the building during the 1940s, reflecting the political upheaval of that period. This removal marked a significant moment in the city's history.
