Ratitovec

Ratitovec, also called Altemaver, is a mountain summit in the Julian Alps standing at 1,678 meters high. Multiple marked trails cross the area and connect different starting points through varied alpine terrain.

This summit has stood along historical trade routes for centuries, where merchants traveled between different regions of Slovenia. The established paths continue to shape the hiking routes through this area today.

Visitors can reach the summit from four different locations: Prtovč, Torka, Zgornje Danje, and Pečana each offer marked starting points. The Krekova Koča mountain hut along the routes provides shelter and rest if needed.
