The Maribor City Park extends over 5 hectares from Kalvarija hills to the Pyramid, featuring three ponds, an aquarium, and diverse tree varieties.
The park's establishment began in 1872 when the Maribor Embellishment Society transformed medieval water supply ponds into the western section of the grounds.
Classical music performances take place every Sunday at the central pavilion, drawing local residents and visitors together for outdoor entertainment.
The park includes maintained walking paths, benches, picnic areas, a playground, and facilities necessary for extended visits throughout the day.
Three ponds within the park support numerous water birds and fish species, while an aquarium houses 120 marine and freshwater species.
