Sathon

Sathon is an administrative district in Bangkok that extends from the Klong Sathorn canal to Chan Road. The area is bounded on the east by Rama IV Road and bordered on the west by the Chao Phraya River.

The area originated from Yan Nawa and gained independent district status in 1989. This separation allowed for better administration and services for the growing population in this part of the city.

The MR Kukrit Heritage Home displays traditional Thai architecture and decorative arts within its rooms. Visitors can observe how wealthy families once lived and which objects and artworks held importance in their daily surroundings.

The district connects to Bangkok's transport network through the Skytrain line and boat services on the Chao Phraya River. These different transport options make it easy to move around the area and reach other neighborhoods.

The Robot Building on South Sathorn Road has a distinctive design that resembles a robot with antennae and eyes. This structure stands out as an example of how modern banking facilities differ from traditional architecture in the city.
