Kurban Nasuh Baba Mosque is an Ottoman house of worship featuring traditional architectural elements, positioned at the intersection of Büyük Selimiye and Ayin streets in Üsküdar. The building rises above street level and is accessed by climbing a series of steps to the main entrance.
The structure was built in 1587 by Sheikh Kurban Nasuh Baba as a place of worship. In the 1600s, El-Hac Ebu Bekir added a minbar, transforming it into a complete mosque with enhanced religious functions.
The mosque serves as a gathering place where people come for daily prayers and moments of reflection in a welcoming atmosphere. The interior space feels calm and is filled with light filtering through windows that illuminate the prayer areas.
Access to the mosque requires climbing several steps since the building sits elevated above street level. Visitors should plan their visit around the regular prayer times that occur throughout the day.
The site houses the tomb of Sheikh Kurban Nasuh Baba, located in front of the mihrab and drawing visitors who come to pay respects. The courtyard preserves traditional elements including a muvakkithane and a shadirvan that date to the original construction.
