Galatasaray Ergun Gursoy Olympic Swimming Pool is a modern competition facility in Istanbul with a 50-meter main pool and separate training areas. The venue meets international standards for professional swimming events and hosts athletes and teams regularly.
The facility opened in 2006 after being converted from an outdoor venue into an indoor complex run by Galatasaray Sports Club. The renovation created a competition center that meets national and international standards.
The facility serves as a training ground for Turkish swimmers while maintaining international standards for World and Olympic Championship competitions.
The pool is heated to comfortable temperatures for training sessions and competitions and can accommodate many visitors daily. There are spectator seating areas with good views of all competition zones.
The roof support columns were intentionally placed to the side to create clear sightlines between the spectator seating and the pool. This architectural choice prioritizes the viewing experience for everyone in attendance.
